Shingle roofs are an affordable option for customers looking for the best value. We primarily use 30-year architectural shingles made with multiple layers which are fused together, resulting in a rich, multidimensional look.
Types of Shingle Roofs – Although the 30-year architectural shingle is the most popular, there are several different options for shingle roofs (e.g., designer shingles, impact-resistant shingles, algae-resistant shingles, etc.).
Fasteners – Smooth Galvanized Coil Roofing Nails.
Underlayment – Synthetic (optional upgrade to self-adhered underlayment)
Average Expected Life – 15 Years

Exposed fastener metal roofs come in a variety of profiles, colors, and gages. Also commonly referred to as “screw down metal roofs”, exposed fastener metal roofs offer superior durability, higher wind rating, and longer life than shingle roofs. Additionally, exposed fastener metal roofs are easy to maintain and repair.
Types of Exposed Fastener Metal Roofs – Ultra Rib (26 Gage), 5V Crimp (29 Gage), Corrugated (26 Gage)
Fasteners – WoodZach galvanized metal roofing screws. These screws have a neoprene gasket/washer with a metal bell housing that encapsulates the neoprene gasket protecting it from exposure to direct sunlight which drastically extends the life expectancy of the screw.
Underlayment – Ultra HT Wind and Water Seal self-adhering underlayment.
Average Expected Life – 25 Years

Hidden fastener metal roofs (also commonly referred to as standing seam roofs) offer the greatest durability, useful life, and wind resistance. These types of roofs use either metal clips or nail flanges that attach to the roof deck, but the fasteners are hidden as they are concealed under the panels. Although hidden fastener metal roofs offer some benefits over exposed fastener metal roofs, they are more difficult to repair due to the fasteners being hidden.
Types of Hidden Fastener Metal Roofs – Nail Flange, and Clip System roof panels. These panels also are manufactured with different rib heights (primarily 1” – 2”) from which customers can choose based on personal preference. Panels are available in both 24 and 26-gage galvalume or .032 aluminum.
Fasteners - Stainless steel pancake screws
Underlayment - Ultra HT Wind and Water Seal self-adhering underlayment

Wood shake roofs offer a beautiful ascetic appeal. These types of roofs are most commonly installed with individual wood shakes head lapped to ensure water tightness. These types of roofs do require more maintenance as compared to other types of roofs, but they are very easy to repair.
Types of Wood Shake Roofs – The most common type of wood shake roof is cedar shake roofs, but African Hardwood shakes are rapidly becoming the new standard for these types of roofs in Florida. Wallaba shake roofs, are an African Hardwood and provide drastically longer lives as compared to cedar shake roofs. Given the harsh exposure to sunlight in Florida, cedar shake roofs have the tendency to deteriorate more rapidly than other types of roofs. Wallaba shake roofs, on the other hand, are naturally weather-resistant and don’t require the chemical treatments that traditional cedar shingles would need.
Fasteners – Stainless steel coil roofing nails
Underlayment – Ultra HT Wind and Water Seal self-adhering underlayment, or synthetic underlayment applied at each head lap.
Average Expected Life – 10-15 years (Cedar), and 30-40 years Wallaba

Stone coated steel roofs are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to concrete tile roofs, especially in Florida. These types of roofs look virtually identical to both barrel and concrete tile roofs but offer the beneficial performance characteristics of metal. Stone coated steel roofs are less expensive than concrete tile roofs. They also provide superior durability, higher wind rating, and weigh significantly less than concrete tile. Many of our customers with existing concrete tile roofs have HOA guidelines requiring them to maintain the appearance of concrete tile (either barrel tile or slate). However, several HOAs are now allowing stone coated steel roofs to be installed given their nearly identical appearance to concrete tile.
